Every six months, Inkoopalliantie Ziekenhuizen (IAZ) organizes an IAZ-Day, to which all members and stakeholders of the association are invited. This year, we came together on Tuesday, June 16th, at a beautiful venue surrounded by the greenery of the Veluwe region, in Arnhem.
With more than 65 participants—including procurement professionals from 10 affiliated hospitals, members of the core team, the board, and representatives from various platforms and working groups—the day focused on collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the future of IAZ.
After reflecting on the developments from the past and looking ahead to our ambitions for the coming period, we engaged in a series of interactive sessions.
During an AI workshop, we explored the opportunities and challenges that artificial intelligence presents for our organization and for hospital procurement.
Geert Rongen from ZINN delivered a presentation on international benchmarking and exploration. Building on his insights, participants worked in smaller groups to further develop the recommendations and discuss what we can learn from other countries to strengthen and improve our own procurement processes.
The open discussions, valuable ideas, and strong engagement of all participants once again demonstrated the power of collaboration.
Guest speaker Fred Wittmaekers then inspired us with an engaging session on perception and perspective, illustrating how different viewpoints can contribute to better collaboration and more effective decision-making.
We concluded the day with an enjoyable pub quiz, which not only tested our knowledge but also provided an informal opportunity to get to know the newest members of the core team.
