Within IAZ, we combine expertise, data and decision-making power to create more value as a network than individual hospitals can achieve on their own. Through our joint approach, we realise economies of scale that drive stronger performance in quality, continuity and sustainability. In doing so, we not only strengthen the procurement function, but also contribute strategically to future-proof healthcare for all participating organisations.
Our combined procurement volumes and unified negotiation strategy strengthen our position with suppliers, leading to better contract terms, competitive pricing and greater influence on product choices and innovation.
Working with IAZ means aligning strategic decisions centrally, sharing market insights and jointly developing contracts. Hospitals play an active and substantive role at every stage from exploration to implementation. We communicate transparently, follow a uniform approach and ensure that all agreements align with local practice within each hospital.
In addition to our joint procurement approach, we operate throughout the year based on a structured annual calendar with fixed governance moments and recurring meetings. Through our knowledge platforms we strengthen collaboration and ensure knowledge is widely accessible across the network. Thematic groups are groups where hospitals share expertise, discuss developments and exchange best practices. We also regularly organise in-person events, including IAZ days, platform sessions, policy days and project meetings. These are moments where all hospitals come together to review progress, share knowledge and develop solutions collectively. There is always room for the specific needs of individual hospitals, while ownership of decisions and results remains with the hospitals themselves.
